Oh baby Arlo, what a crazy world you have come into. But you have come into it surrounded by love and hope and family and joy in spite of the rest of it. You have been born out of love and companionship and partnership of the fiercest and most thoughtful quality. You have two sisters who have adored you since before they knew you were you. You have two parents who prayed for you. You have countless others who love you to pieces and want to hold you up in this world.

2020 - you have been a weird year. But through all of the unexpected trials, you have still born so much light. Births, first steps, first words, new relationships, “I love you's,” ending bad relationships, starting new relationships, family walks, friends relaxing outside without distraction, reconnection with old friends… SO much light. Let us hold that as a beacon so that we may weather this storm together. Because through all the uncertainty and unprecedented obstacles, there will always be love above all.
