little leo

Oh my, how humbling it is to be brought into someone's home and spend the morning with their little family. This family - A two year old who is wrestling with what it means to suddenly have a little brother to share mom and dad with, a one-week old who is in a constant swing between hungry and happy, and two loving parents who adore their littles. I cherish watching families love each other and care for each other. I admire every happy moment along with every cry that is inevitably soothed by an embrace or hushed words. I know that parents sometimes find it frustrating to take family photos. Someone is screaming or misbehaving or pouting. Someone spilled food on their shirt. But in between all those small moments of discord are many more moments of sheer beauty. These are the sessions that make me so excited to have a family of my own. You don't need to pretend that life is perfect with me. I know that toddlers get grumpy and that babies have dirty diapers. I know that there is so much more than that, and that I will never fully understand until I am there in my life. But I do know that I love every moment that I get to spend with a family in their home, watching them just be. Your beauty comes from the love that you pour forth no matter what, through every beautiful mess. I promise I love every minute of this unfiltered time together.
